Guide to e-journals/e-books

User restrictions

  • Subscribed e-journals/e-books are available to members of Wakayama University (students, teaching and administrative staff) only on-campus.
  • You can also use e-journals/e-books marked Remote off campus. Refer to Guide for Off-Campus Access for details.

Notice

The following restrictions apply to use of e-resources.

  • Systematic or programmatic downloading.
  • Reproduction or redistributing of full-text file.

Non-compliance can result in suspension of service for the entire campus of Wakayama University.

  • You can search for subscribed e-journals/ebooks on OPAC.
  • "e-Resource Portal Site" provides a title list of e-journals/e-books. Journals/Books marked with "Free" icon on that site are available to anyone on or off-campus.
  • When you search an article database like CiNii Articles on-campus, the search result shows リンクリゾルバアイコンicons. Click the icon to find out if it is available as a printed material or e-resource. If it isn't available, you can log in to MyLibrary and navigate to the site of InterLibrary Photocopy Request and providing bibliographic information.

DOAJ is a portal site of open access journals managed by Lund University Library, Sweden.
HighWirePress
HighWirePress is a portal site of e-journals of mainly natural science managed by Stanford University. It contains many e-journals that are free access after a certain period.

Contact Us

If you have any trouble using e-resources, for example, when you can't access a full-text file, contact us after checking the following items.

  • Article title, journal title, number, pages, URL
  • Error message
  • Access route to the e-resource (Ex. from a link on the library website, from a link of OPAC, from the website of the publisher, etc.)
  • Your PC's OS, web browser version and your location (on-campus/off-campus)
  • The time trouble occurred
  • Can you access the same e-resource from another PC?
  • Can you access other e-resources of the same publisher/platform?
