An integrated English Program, encouraging systematic English studies. --Learn Tourism in English!
Integrated English Program is a certification system encouraging initiatives and systematic approach to English study with a theme “Learn Tourism in English!”. IEP, unique to the Faculty of Tourism, Wakayama University, awards certification to students on acquiring required number of units.
This program aims to encourage students to acquire English skills and deepen tourism knowledge with a holistic learning approach focusing on mainly four skills: reading, writing, speaking and presentation skills”.

Required units
Students must acquire 24 units for IEP and 40 units for IEP Advanced from the subjects below.
Units from GIP, TOEFL, TOEIC, English proficiency test, Sustainable Tourism and Pilgrimage may be counted towards the total required unit(Maximum 4 units)
*Students must achieve more than 600 points of TOEIC for IEP Advanced.
